A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within an elementary school setting in Waterbury, CT. This contract position runs through June 9, 2026, with a start date ASAP. The role requires providing speech therapy services across two elementary schools (specific sites to be determined), supporting students with diverse disability categories within a general education inclusion environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students in a school-based setting.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and parent communications as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF) with active licensure.
- Active Connecticut SLP license.
- Prior school-based experience working with children across various disability categories.
- Completion of district fingerprinting/background checks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability for onsite work during school hours (8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, 35 hours per week).
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) candidates will be considered.
